The Centre for Interdisciplinary Research & Education(CIRE) jointly with the West Bengal Academy of Science and Technology (WAST), the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) and the Birla Industrial and Technological Museum (BITM) will be organizing a One-Day Symposium on “Science behind Homeopathy” to be held on 20th February, 2016. The event is supported primarily by the Central Council for Research in Homeopathy (CCRH), Dept. of AYUSH, Govt. of India, New Delhi.

Homeopathy, as you know, has been mired in controversy since almost its inception and the main aim of this symposium is to focus attention on the latest developments in the science and practice of homeopathy. Eminent persons from all over India related with the field are going to present their views and there will be a poster session on current research. The members of CIRE, Academicians of WAST, research workers and students and interested public are expected to be the audience.

Tentative topics for the Symposium to establish homeopathy as a science are likely to cover Current Research on Science and Practice of Homeopathy, Physics and Chemistry of Homeopathy, Homeopathy, an Alternative Medical System, Homeopathy in Agriculture and in Veterinary Practice, etc.

On this occasion we invite all interested persons to participate at this symposium and present posters on their research or topics of interest in keeping with the theme of this symposium.

Prof. Dr Papiya Nandy, a physicist and Director, Jagadish Bose National Science Talent Search, Kolkata, India, who is organising a Homeopathy conference in Kolkata on 20th February 2016.
