Project Axshya
Presently, MAMTA being SR under GFATM Phase III, implementing Axshya Project in 62 districts and 7 cities of seven high burden states namely Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, UP, Bihar, Haryana & Delhi with the support from The UNION (International Union Against Tuberculosis & Lung Disease). The project promotes early TB diagnosis and treatment services among key affected populations including PLHIVs. This project has strong emphasis on Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilization strategy towards strengthening RNTCP Reach, Visibility and Effectiveness through engagement of Community Organizations (Including KP organizations and District/State level Network of PLHIVs) in TB Care and Control in India.
General scope of the job
Project Axshya is looking for suitable candidates to support interventions in the selected urban sites for involving and engaging Private providers in TB care and control.
The Coordinator, Urban TB is responsible for identifying and building a network of private qualified health care providers (Qualified Private Practitioners/ Private Hospitals/Private Labs) and coordinate their engagement towards identification, notification and treatment of all forms of tuberculosis patients especially in Key Affected Populations (KAP).
Key Deliverables
• Mapping of key affected populations in urban areas (slums, migrants, PLHIV etc) and coordinating active case finding (Axshya SAMVAD) amongst them. • Identify and map Specialists (MD, MS etc), MBBS doctors, AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopath), Private Labs and Private Hospitals in assigned urban sites. • Sensitize and advocate with private providers for complying with STCI guidelines and notification of all form of TB Patients. • Ensure engagement of identified private health care providers in Axshya activities. • Coordinate with RNTCP for implementing project Axshya activities in urban settings. • Ensure monthly collection of data/reporting formats (Notification) from all engaged private health care providers. • Supervise Community Volunteer to ensure regular follow-up with the TB patients identified through private health care providers for treatment completion. • Responsible for timely submission of reports for the project activities • Any other task assigned by supervisor time to time.
Qualification and Experience
Essential: • Graduate with 3-5 years of experience /Post graduate, preferably with 1-3 years of experience in social marketing, Pharmaceutical sales and public health programs. • Experience of working with private health care providers • Proficiency in working with MS office • Good communication skills
Desirable: • Experience of working as Medical Representatives with reputed pharmaceutical companies • Local candidates are encouraged to apply.
