PSI promotes and distributes 11 health products, using commercial channels and outlets to make available quality health products at affordable prices. The basket of products includes condoms, oral contraceptives, intra uterine devices, emergency contraceptives, ORS, water purification solutions; IFA tablets; clean delivery kits and pre-packaged STI treatment kit. For more information, please visit www.psi.org.in PSI is sub recipient to International Union against Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases (The Union) under New Funding Model (NFM) of Global Fund Round-9 to implement Project Axshya across 60 districts and 9 urban cities in India. The Project is implemented in close collaboration with Revised National TB Program (RNTCP) and aims at increasing accessibility of TB diagnosis and treatment services to Key Affected Population (KAP) (Urban Slums, Vulnerable and Marginalized Population, PLHIV, Mining/Quary workers etc) by conducting ACSM activities within the communities and training and engagement of all types of Private Providers. POSITION PURPOSE: The Coordinator-Urban TB is responsible for identifying and building a network of private qualified health care providers (Qualified Private Practitioners/ Private Hospitals/Private Labs) and coordinate their engagement towards identification, notification and treatment of all forms of tuberculosis patients especially in Key Affected Populations (KAP). DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assist the Program Manager in effective management of the Project Axshya in the assigned territory • Mapping of key affected populations in urban areas (slums, migrants, PLHIV etc) and coordinating active case finding (Axshya SAMVAD) amongst them • Identify and map Specialists (MD, MS etc), MBBS doctors, AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopath), Private Labs and Private Hospitals in assigned urban sites • Ensures that all sensitizations/trainings and refresher trainings and orientations among all types of providers, private hospitals and private laboratories are planned and effectively implemented in coordination with Clinic Training Specialist (CTS) • Conduct regular mentoring and support visits to the private providers to Sensitize and advocate for complying with STCI guidelines and notification of all form of TB Patients. • Ensure engagement of identified private health care providers in Axshya activities. • Expand the existing network, build new network and manage the network of doctors, hospitals and private laboratories in the assigned territory. • Coordinate with RNTCP for implementing project AXSHYA activities in urban settings in collaboration with State Program Manager. • Ensure monthly collection of data/reporting formats (Notification) from all engaged private health care providers. • Supervise Community Volunteer to ensure regular follow-up with the TB patients identified through private health care providers for treatment completion. • Responsible for timely submission of reports for the project activities • Any other task assigned by supervisor time to time. QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: • Graduate with 3-5 years of experience /Post graduate with minimum 1-3 years of experience in social marketing, Pharmaceutical sales and public health program. • Experience of working with private health care providers • Proficiency in working with MS office • Fluency in English and local language SKILLS: • Manage health service delivery programs at districts level • Willing to travel – 80% of the time • Self-motivated and able to motivate others • Commitment to public health values • Commitment to quality work by self, by team • Confidence to manage others • Good networking skills COMPETENCIES: 1.
