Released by: LEPRA Society – MP Operations Job Title: Technical Officer-TRU Reference No.: LS/HR/TRU/TO Location: Indore/Bhopal, MP Reporting to: State Coordinator - MP Last Date: 25.04.2015 Technical Officer-TRU LEPRA India (registered as LEPRA Society) is a pan-India health and development organization working to restore health, hope and dignity to people affected by leprosy and other diseases linked to poverty, discrimination and disability. LEPRA endeavors to diagnose, facilitate treatment to those affected and help them to rehabilitate into the mainstream of the society. LEPRA works in collaboration with the Government and funding agencies to reach-out to the most inaccessible villages of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Madhya Pradesh states. Project Description: LEPRA Society in partnership with state government, established a Technical Resource Unit in seven district of Indore division and Jabalpur district to support in implementation of National Leprosy Eradication Programme(NLEP) Applications are invited for the Technical Officer position for Technical Resource Unit, based at Indore/Bhopal. Roles & responsibilities: This position will be responsible for complete implementation of leprosy program as per NLEP and LEPRA mandate. Adherence to Donor compliances, Coordination with peers for collective reporting as per project performance framework. Web based MIS and use of tools deployed time to time for measuring and evaluating project activities. • Representing LEPRA India in State/ Divisional/ Zonal/District level meetings and discussions • Lead and coordinate implementation of project activities in state. • Provide supportive supervision of staff. • Planning, liaison and implementation of activities at various levels. Assist Coordinators in Implementation of Project Activities: • Prepare Annual Action Plan & budget as per project objectives. • Compile the Monthly Progressive Reports received from Field and Prepare analytical reports for sharing with the concerned District and State level Officials/HO. • Plan and assist in organizing training Programs and ensure quality. • Support ILEP Activities. Supervision and Monitoring: • Regularly monitor and review the implementation of the programs. • Support and Supervise POD Activities carried out by the State and evaluate its impacts. • Support in Identifying reaction cases and its management at field level. • Assist in Follow up reaction cases and Proper recording for judging the impact of the activity. Coordination with CMO/DLO and NLEP Staff. • Submit Monthly analytical Reports / Field Findings of the DTST Staff for possible improvement • Attended monthly review meetings of NLEP Staff conducted by DLO and Block Medical Officers monthly review meetings to share the field level implementation and bottlenecks. • Facilitate relocations of Anti Leprosy Drugs within the Districts as per requirements by the Districts Health Officials. • Support the concerned NLEP Consultant in representing the Organization at the State Level. Problem Identification • Identify the Problematic areas in Project Implementation and facilitate appropriate measures by the District Health officials. • Identify the needed areas for intensified IEC Activities and propose feasible methods to the Districts officials. • Identify the capacity Development requirement of the Project Staff and facilitate for needed actions. Qualification, Experience & Skills: • The candidate must be a Post graduate from a recognized university (Preference will be given Social work/ Social Sciences) • Para Medical Certificate in Leprosy / NMS • Trained in the area of Leprosy • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Leprosy Relief activities • Computing skills: MS-office, Internet • Excellent interpersonal & Communication skills • Data Analysis Skills, Advocacy /Communication Skills, Leadership, Motivation & Subordinate Development, Liaoning Skills. • Must have proficiency in English & Hindi (Reading, writing, Speaking) • Should be good in Report writing & Documentation • Should have willingness to travel (as per project need) Salary: Rs.25,000/- Gross PM (PF and other benefits extra) Location: Bhopal/Indore, Madhya Pradesh How to apply?
