DST – Department of Science & Technology as a part of Women Scientist scheme , is now inviting applications from all the interested female candidates for 8th batch of KIRAN IPR – Women Scientists scheme. There are three categories under DST- Women Scientist Scheme, WOS-A, WOS-B and WOS-C . This particular Scheme , KIRAN IPR 2015 comes under WOS-C. About Women Scientist Scheme – WOS C 2015: This category is mainly focused to provide opportunities to the women scientists for the self employment, by utilizing their specializes knowledge in the following areas, Patenting Proof reading Science journalism Technical translation Clinical pathology labs Medical transcription etc. The Aim of this scheme is to train women scientists having qualifications in science/engineering/ medicine or allied areas in the area of (IPR) Intellectual Property Rights and their management for a period of 1 year and develop a pool of women scientists geared up in creating, protecting and managing intellectual property in India. Selection Procedure: Selection will be made through an all India Examination and interview Training Details All the selected candidates will be trained, and the training will include 1 to 2 months of intensive orientation programme on IPR at New Delhi, India. The candidates will be placed as interns in any of the Coordination Centres for hands-on-training at Delhi, Pune, Chennai, and Kharagpur Stipend: 20,000/-Per Month for BTech/MSc/MBBS/BPharma or equivalent 30,000/- Per Month for MTech/PhD/ MVSc/ MPharma or equivalent during the training. Eligibility: Only Women with Indian Nationality are Eligible to apply. Age Limit : Minimum 27 years; Maximum 45 years as on 01-06-2015.
