JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title: District Program Manager Location: District HQ (Yavatmal/ Gangakhed/ Netrang/ Jasdan/ Seoni/ Jamai/ Sawai Madhopur/ Banswara) Reporting to: Regional Project Co-ordinator Organization profile: India is a nation of a billion dreams, a billion aspirations and above all great opportunities. The Foundation focuses its efforts on five core pillars of Rural Transformation, Education, Health, Urban Renewal and Arts, Culture & Heritage. Position overview: District Program Manager will be in charge of program implementation in a district and for supervision and mentoring of field program managers and field health workers, project implementation, monitoring, data collection, documentation, and troubleshooting. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: • Developing district level operational plan • Organizing and conducting capacity building workshops • Liaise with local health authorities, health providers, village/ district stakeholders/VFA /BIJ cluster team for effective project roll out • Facilitate development of village level micro plans , referral directories and referral pathway • Organize and conduct need based health camps in select villages • Ensure timely collation and transfer of data and ensure correctness of data • Coordinate cluster level supply change management • Identify gaps at health facility level and plan activities to address same • Facilitate addressing any technical issues identified by the FO/Village Health Worker • Identify success stories and facilitate documentation • Participate in research activities and surveys • Financial and administrative management for the district unit. • Manage, support and guide the project team to ensure successful, timely implementation of the planned project activities. • Support project team in identifying success stories and ensure documentation of the success stories • Plan, organize, support and conduct and supervise trainings, workshops, meetings, events • Compile monthly data, track reports, analyse data, develop project reports, and disseminate as per strategy • Develop district work plan, develop activity budgets, manage local petty cash, review expenditure, submit timely expenditure reports, manage local petty cash and ensure budget optimization • Perform or assume other duties as assigned by the supervisor Educational Qualifications and experience: a) Must haves / Essential: • MBBS • 2 years’ experience • Ability to travel up to 15 days/month, mostly within district b) Preferred: Medical Postgraduate MPH/DPH/MHA/DGO/DCH Experience in rural health programs Key Competencies: Thorough understanding of local government structure, leadership and managerial skills, advocacy, communications, problem-solving skills, ability to work with and understand communities, fluency in local language, analytical and documentation.
