About SAATHII and PPP PPTCT Program :

Solidarity and Action Against The HIV Infection in India (SAATHII), a registered non-profit organization, was founded with a vision to stabilize and reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS in India and ensure that people living with HIV/AIDS receive un-stigmatized, affordable and quality care, support and treatment. Headquartered in Chennai, it has branch offices at Kolkata and Hyderabad, and field offices at, Bhubaneswar in Odisha, Imphal in Manipur, Jaipur in Rajasthan, Ranchi in Jharkhand, and Nagpur and Mumbai in Maharashtra.
SAATHII, for its proposed Global Fund supported project, will be providing technical assistance to Public Private Partnership (PPP) program to scale up Integrated Counselling and Testing centres (ICTC)/ Prevention of Parent To Child Transmission (PPTCT) services in private health sector in selected districts of West Bengal, Jharkhand and Odisha. This project will be implemented in coordination with National AIDS Control Organization and respective state AIDS Control Societies.

Position Summary:

SAATHII currently seeks a Medical Manager position, located in any of the three State Capitals from among West Bengal, Jharkhand and Odisha for its Public Private Partnership’s (PPP) program. The position is for initial period of one year and will be renewed on an annual basis.

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The incumbent will report to the Associate Director and work in close association with other team members of both states and Union Territory to deliver the following tasks: 
Travel to existing program and other private hospitals for ensuring smooth program implementation and quality of clinical services
Capacity building of staff of private hospitals through onsite sensitization 
Training of doctors though onsite clinical mentoring and various training techniques
Sensitisation of professional medical associations’ members from IMA, FOGSI, IAP etc. and engage the private health sector for elimination of new HIV infections
Organising experience sharing meetings for the staff of private hospitals involved in the program
Capacity building of program team of SAATHII through technical sessions and on going guidance
Program planning and strategy development, along with program manager 
Overall monitoring and internal evaluation of program along with program manager and Project Director
Representing program at state and district level meetings 
Coordination with other HIV service providers in district
Development of technical materials, tools and checklists, and documents 
Development of activity reports including mentorships, sensitisation, trainings etc. 
Review of literatures and technical documents and development of various program reports in coordination with program team
Documentation of program activities including best practices and newsletters etc.
Any other additional tasks related to the program as required

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL-SET:

Post graduation in Medical Sciences or Graduation (Allopathic or AYUSH) with a minimum of one to three year working experience in community health programs. Professionals with HIV Fellowships and /or Public Health Management qualifications and understanding of private health sector are an added advantage.
Experience in working on HIV/AIDS and/or TB programs with knowledge on the technical areas of HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care, Support and Treatment services
Working experience at diverse areas of Program Cycle, Capacity building and Documentation 
Oral and written communication skills in English with one regional language
Sound computer skills, including use of internet and MS officeTM software 
Ability to work independently and as a team player in a complex, multicultural environment

This position requires a minimum of 10-15 days travel to states/every month to West Bengal, Jharkhand and Odisha
